Bud Light 2023 NFL team cans include Cleveland Browns

Bud Light is back with its limited-edition NFL cans, which include the Cleveland Browns.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Bud Light is back with its limited-edition NFL team cans.

The front has the team helmet with the words “An official beer sponsor of the Cleveland Browns” under “Bud Light.” The back has the silhouette of a player running.

Bud Light is the official beer sponsor of the NFL. But if you are thinking of collecting the cans know this: Not every team has one. Bud Light’s website shows 24 cans – 23 teams and one with the NFL logo.

A rep for Bud Light said for the 2023 season, the beer partnered with 27 teams, confirming 23 are represented in the team packs.

The beer has done can promotions with the league in the past. In 2019, team logos and slogans were featured. Cleveland’s was “Beware of Dawgs.” That year, all but four teams participated in the campaign. Those teams had deals that precluded them from the Bud Light initiative.

Teams participating in the campaign are Atlanta, Arizona, Baltimore, Buffalo, Carolina, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Miami, New England, New York Giants, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Tennessee.

The beer is launching “Easy to Sunday,” what it bills as one of its biggest NFL campaigns ever. The commercial features real fans showcasing their Sunday traditions and rituals.

The campaign comes after Bud Light lost its No. 1 spot as the nation’s top-selling beer for May. Prior to that, conservative backlash reared up over Bud Light’s use of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in a marketing campaign.

The Browns play their final preseason game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. Cleveland’s opener is 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, hosting Cincinnati.
