PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue Additions for August 2023 Revealed

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue line-up for August 2023, which includes Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Sea of Stars, Lost Judgement, and more.

Announced on the PlayStation Blog, a total of 17 games are joining the library: 14 in the Games Catalogue available to Extra and Premium members and three in the Classic Games Catalogue only available to Premium members.

These games will be available from August 15 with the exception of Sea of Stars, which doesn't launch until August 29 but will be available for no additional cost to Extra and Premium members then.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the second to most recent expansion for Bungie's sci-fi shooter and still requires the base game to play, but since this was made free in 2019, that shouldn't be an issue for most players.

In our 8/10 review, IGN said: "Bugs and PvP aside, The Witch Queen delivers the best version of Destiny 2 yet."

Sea of Stars is an upcoming turn-based RPG from The Messenger developer Sabotage Studios. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Those eager to try before they buy (or get for free, at least) can download a demo on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 now which includes areas that will be part of the final game but without any story spoilers.

Lost Judgement comes from the creators of the Yakuza series and is a sequel to the original Judgement, which is also in the PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue. In our 7/10 review of the latest, IGN said: "Lost Judgment disappoints with its main story and simplistic detective work, but excels with its substantial school-based side quests."
